Day 85 of 365 Things to do in Stockton: Valley Brew

Posted in 365 Things to do in Stockton, Ca, 95204 on June 25th, 2010 by David – View Comments

Cat Stout, IPA India Pale ale, Luna Blanca, and Indian Red are just a few of the hand-crafted beers made at Valley Brew Brewery and Restaurant. The Indian Red is the one I always order when I go to valley Brew. Valley Brew serves a variety of good bar food, including pizza’s, burgers, hot sandwiches and much more.  I have never had a bad meal and all the food washes down great with the fresh brew.

Located on 157 Adams street, Valley Brew has been producing good beer for over 10+ years. If you haven’t been to the brewery I suggest you go in and check them out. They also have a nice patio for some outdoor dining, which is great for the summer nights.

Valley Brew has a website, but it currently isn’t up. I have been told that it also has new ownership. Lets hope the great beer continues to flow from the taps. You can get more info and see more reviews from other people.

Day 84 of 365 Things to do in Stockton: Dante’s Pizza

Posted in 365 Things to do in Stockton, Ca, 95209 on June 24th, 2010 by keebler – View Comments

The second pizza restaurant mentioned on the list of things to do is a good one.  If you are a pizza lover, Dante’s Pizza is a must “thing” to do .  Known for thier large pizza’s with THICK crust, Dante’s has been a local favorite for years!

If you haven’t eaten in a few days Dante’s is the place for you.  The tasty pizza’s at Dante’s are very large.  A medium pizza will easily feed 2-3 people and you may even have some leftover.  If you order a large, for get about it, be prepared to ask for a to go box.   Even the non-pizza item like the calzones and lasagna are huge! Take a co-worker or spouse and spilt an item.

The restaurant is located in North Stockton in the Thornton Plaza shopping center.  Head over and check them out if you have never been.  Don’t take my work for it.  See all the reviews on yelp!

Day 69 of 365 Things to do in Stockton: VIP Pizza

Posted in 365 Things to do in Stockton, Ca, 95219 on June 6th, 2010 by keebler – View Comments

Last week a friend of mine came into town from Seattle. Whenever he comes to town he always wants to go to VIP Pizza’s Lunch Buffet.  I didn’t want to break tradition, so we went!  It had been a while since my last trip and I had forgotten how tasty their pizza was.

Most of the time we go for the All-You-Can-Eat Lunch Buffet which costs $7.40. It is served 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Daily.  It includes Appetizers, Pizza, Salad, Soup and a Soft Drink.  If you have not had the Pizza from VIP I suggest you try it.  I think it’s great!

Also on the menu are fabulous sandwiches, pizza pockets, specialty pizza’s and more.  They have 12 different draft beers on tap ready to be served in a Pint, Half-Pitcher or Pitcher.  Grab some pizza, and watch a little baseball on the flat screen TV’s.  It’ll be fun!

Day 58 of 365 Things to do in Stockton: David’s Pizza

Posted in 365 Things to do in Stockton, Ca, 95207 on May 26th, 2010 by keebler – View Comments

Welcome to the 58th day of this fun little project, “365 things to do in Stockton.”  I hope everyone is enjoying it as much as I am.

Yes that’s right. David’s Pizza. Im not just picking this place because of it’s ultra cool name with which we share.  David’s has great pizza’s too!  When I am craving pizza, David’s is the first place I think of.  The pizza is made with thick crust, New York style.  They serve the traditional pizza’s and make some gourmet ones as well.  They also do sandwiches, salads, calzones, desserts and beer & wine too.

David’s New York style pizza has two locations and both have the same great quality pizza that you would expect from a guy named David.  If you have never tried a David’s Pizza, I recommend you do!

The original David’s Pizza (what was once Michael’s Pizza) location is in the Parkwood’s Shopping center on 744 West Hammer Lane. The 2nd restaurant is located in Lincoln Center south at 900 West Benjamin Holt Drive.
