Day 35 of 365 Things to do in Stockton: Michael Faklis Park

Posted in 365 Things to do in Stockton, Ca, 95219 on May 3rd, 2010 by keebler – View Comments

Today I had to pick up a few things at Target and remembered a new park that was built just last year in Spanos Park west.  I had to check it out!  I remembered when the park was being made  but didn’t realize the enormity of it until today.  Michael Faklis Park is 16+ acres and has

  • two full basketball courts
  • tennis courts
  • large playground for the kids
  • an 18 hole disc golf course
  • softball and baseball fields
  • picnic areas
  • and more

Pack a picnic and come on out to the park.  The park is pet friendly so you can bring your dog out to get some exercise as well.  There are plenty of park benches around the park too.

If you’re in the Spanos Park area hopefully you already know about this great park. If not, I’d recommend you head over and discover it for yourself. It’s located on 5250 Consumnes Drive.

Day 21 of 365 Things to do in Stockton: The Victory Park Loop

Looking to enjoy the nice spring weather?  Want to get outdoors? Need a place to destress?  Take a stroll, jog or bike around the .80 mile park.  Victory park is a beautiful setting to do such a thing.  It is surrounded by beautiful older homes and is full of mature trees which makes the .80 mile stretch peaceful.  On any given day you will see other folks jogging or walking their dogs.  Come join them.

Victory Park is located just north of 1-5 on Pershing Avenue.  Below is a 2 min video of my entire walk around the park as I enjoy the sunshine.  Check it out and we will see you out there!
