One of my all time favorite foods is a nice and big Mexican Burrito. At the San Felipe Grill, you can order just that. I’m always tempted to try other foods but have a hard time straying from the favorites.
San Felipe Grill serves up some generous portion sizes and all for a decent cost. The reviews on yelp seems to be mixed but overall they have a 3.5 star rating. Most of the negative reviews are of the atmosphere or service, but most all say the food is very good.

Most days my favorite food is Mexican food! When it comes it comes to really good Mexican food restaurants in Stockton, Miguel’s is near the top of the list. I tend to judge Mexican restaurant’s first and foremost on the quality of the salsa. Miguel’s salsa is different than most, and is delicious! No joke.
In addition to the chips and salsa, which I could eat and be happy, I like to order their grilled chicken dish with rice. Side this with some corn tortillas and you’ve got a meal! The Chile Relleno is great too. One more word of advice, order a side of gravy with the chips. Yum!
A few years ago Miguel’s has a fire. They have obviously rebuilt and expanded with a bigger bar in the back and have not lost any quality in their food since then.

Casa Flores Marina Mexican Restaurant has been open for 1 1/2 years and has already become a local favorite. Voted The Record’s Best of San Joaquin for 2010, they offer fresh ingredients in there food and you can taste it. Wash it down with a traditional margarita and you be happy!
Last month Casa Flores was a member of Stockton Restaurant week. And for good reason. In there young age the already have 28 great reviews on Yelp which have earned them 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Once a month, Casa Flores hosts Tequila Tasting sponsored by a particular tequila distillery. Tequila Tasting will be every 3rd Thursday from 6-9pm.
If you haven’t been to Casa Flores in Marina Center, you should definitely check them out. They’re food is delicious!

This small, quaint, home cooked restaurant is a fabulous local Mexican Restuarant with very good authentic food and nice staff. It’s family owned and I think that is what keeps the charm and consistency to the place.
One of things I always seem to judge is how good the chips and salsa are. El Senor frogs has some excellent salsa! The prices are reasonable which is always a good reason to go back.
El Senor Frog’s is located next to the train’s on Pacific ave. Head over and give it a try.

Do you have another Mexican food craving? No problem, head to downtown Stockton and try one of the finest authentic Mexican restaurants in town. Xochimilco, which some call Xochy’s, has fabulous home cooked food that I cannot speak highly enough about. This family ran restaurant is know for their homemade tortillas and salsa to the great tasting enchilda’s and tacos! Yum. Come to think of it, everything is good!
This is defiantly a locals spot. They are open late, 1 am, and have huge home cooked portions, which I can never finish. It’s kinda of like a chucks, Day 18 of 365, but only mexican food. I encourage everyone to give them a try. Be prepared to eat!

Today, as I often am, was in the mood for Mexican food. When I get in the mood for Mexican food there are just a handful of Mexican restaurants that always come to mind. One of those is Tepa Taqueria. The food is always delicious and never disappoints. Not only is it great it seems to be faster and cheaper than most others, not to name names. 
Their motto is Real Mexican Fast Food.
When I go I always seem to order the same thing each time; A grilled chicken burrito. While this is my item of choice, my friends and family have also liked the taqutios, taco salad, and carne asada tacos! But don’t take my word for it. See what others think of Tepa, as I call it, on Yelp!
Tepa is located in the College Square shopping center of of March lane and Pershing Ave. They are located next to the old Mervyns store. If you have never been, I suggest you give them a try! See you there!
