Van Buskirk Golf course seems to be a forgotten course here in the central valley. With the growth of the valley in the last 15 years many new courses have come to be. Van Buskirk, a public course, include an 18-hole championship course built on approximately 214 acres with four challenging waterways.
One of the good things about the new courses in and around Stockton, is there is very little wait when playing at Van Buskirk. Take the time to play here and enjoy some of the wildlife which visits you will you play.
Van Buskirk Golf Course is a classically designed par 72 course that will allow you to use every club in your golf bag. The facility features a cafe, an all grass driving range with 15 stations and two practice greens. Cart paths are partially paved throughout.

It’s time to dust off those golf clubs and fresh-in up the golf swing. Head out to the driving range at Spanos Reserve Golf Course. The driving range offers plenty of grassy spots for you to tee it up. There are spots both at the North and South side of the range, but don’t worry they are far enough apart so you wont be hitting each other.
The range is lit so you can come and practice after the sun has set. Cards are purchased in various increments. The minimum is for 75 balls which is $6.00. More balls can be purchased on your card. Head out with a friend and share a large bucket.
At the driving range you hit of real grass and it is really wide to accommodate my hooks and slices. Also at the range are two FREE practice greens which are graded and hilly to challenge the best golfers. One of the green has a sand trap and a chipping area so you can practice the short game.

Swenson Park golf has been one of Stockton’s most enjoyable golf courses since in opened in 1952! Swenson Park Golf course has two great courses; the first is an 18 hole 72 par course that plays over 6700 yars. The second is a great course for all beginners and those wanting to practice your short game. It is a 9 hole par 3 course. As a whole, Swenson has been voted one the best local courses of the past 10 years.
By the way, does anyone know what the course record is for Swenson? Please comment.
During the week you can play Swenson for $23.50 and the par 3 course for $15.00.
