Day 59 of 365 Things to do in Stockton: Barefoot in the Park

It’s the final weekend of the play Barefoot in the Park at the Civic Theatre.

The play has been running since May 5th and will conclude May 30th.

Barefoot in the park was written by Neil Simon and is a romantic comedy.  The original broadway play first opened in October of 1963 and featured the likes of Robert Redford, Elizabeth Ashley and Mildred Natwick.

I have never seen the play but am assuming it is a good one since it ran for 1530 shows! It closed in June of 1967 and was nominated for three Tony Awards.  If you are looking for a good show, head over to the Civic Theatre this weekend and catch the final shows!  The theatre could really use all the local support.
