Another FREE event is on it’s way. Starting August 26th, the 6th annual, Visions of Clay exhibition and awards ceremony kicks off. The event will last for about a month starting August 26th and ending on September 23rd. The kick off event happens on Thursday the 26th from 7-9pm. The exhibit will be held in the LH Horton Gallery on the Delta College campus (see below).
This exhibit features 72 ceramic works by 51 artists from around the country, including two from Stockton, Joel Blum and Ilona Finocchi. The exhibition includes functional/decorative and sculptural works, and is dedicated to unique form, surface and texture qualities. The best of show award of $1000, is funded by the Stockton Arts Commission, see them on Facebook, so it’s important that we keep the special group going strong.
The LH Horton Gallery is located on the campus of San Joaquin Delta College, on the ground floor of Shima Center, and is wheelchair accessible. Admission is free and open to the public. Recommended parking is available in the Shima lot for a nominal fee of $1.
